Apocrypha · Chapter 12 of 65

1 Clement 12

Letter to the Corinthians

And she said to them: I know for certain that the Lord God is delivering this city to you.

2Because the fear of you has fallen upon its inhabitants. When you take it, save me and my father's house.

3And they said to her: It shall be as you have said. When you know that we have come, you shall gather all yours under your roof, and they shall be saved. Because everyone found outside the house shall be killed.

4And moreover they gave her a sign, that she should hang something scarlet from her house.
