Agape

The love that chooses the good of the other, whatever it feels about them.

Greek had several words for love — éros (desire), philía (friendship), storgé (family affection). Agápe was the palest of them, rarely used, and it is exactly the one the New Testament picks and fills with content: a love defined by self-giving, not by emotion. That is why it can be commanded (“love your enemies”), which would be absurd with any of the others.
