Terms of use

These Terms govern use of the luxveritas.site website (“Lux Veritas” or the “site”), operated by Pryvion Studio, the business name used by Diego Ferreira da Costa, an individual. Contact: pryvionstudio@gmail.com. By creating an account or subscribing, you state that you have read and accepted these conditions.

1. What the site offers

Reading of the Scriptures (Old and New Testaments), 119 apocryphal books and ancient manuscripts, along with audio narration, Living Word, topic studies, study journeys, reading plans and a Bible dictionary.

• Free: reading all Scripture texts without payment.
• Premium (paid): audio narration, Living Word, topic studies, journeys, reading plans and the dictionary.

2. One subscription for the site and app

• A Premium subscription purchased on this site also works in the Lux Veritas app (Google Play), and a Google Play subscription also works on luxveritas.site, provided you sign in with the same account in both places.
• We do not charge twice for the same access. If you already subscribe in one place, you do not need another subscription.
• The app neither offers nor directs users to payment outside Google Play; purchases on the site take place exclusively on the site, through Stripe or Mercado Pago.
• Each subscription is managed and canceled where it was purchased (see section 5).

3. Account access

To subscribe, you must create an account with email and password or sign in with Google. The same account works on the site and in the Lux Veritas app. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Sharing credentials to give paid access to others is forbidden.

You state that you are at least 18 years old, or have the authorization and assistance of your legal guardians.

4. Prices, payment and renewal

• Monthly plan: R$ 9,99 per month.
• Annual plan: R$ 79,99 per year.

Payments are processed by Mercado Pago, which handles the payment method and card information. The subscription renews automatically: at the end of each period, the current price is charged to the same payment method until you cancel.

Price changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance and will apply only to the following renewal. You may cancel before then at no cost.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time, without penalty, where you purchased the subscription: on the My account page (Stripe), in your Mercado Pago account, or under Google Play › Subscriptions (for app subscriptions). Cancellation stops future charges; Premium access remains active until the end of the paid period on both the site and app. One time payments do not renew and expire on the stated date. 6. Right of withdrawal (7 days)

For purchases made outside a business establishment, article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code allows withdrawal within 7 calendar days of payment, with a full refund. Email pryvionstudio@gmail.com and provide the email used for the subscription.

7. Permitted use of content

The content is licensed for personal, devotional and study use. The following are forbidden:

• redistributing, reselling or making narration audio publicly available;
• extracting the collection automatically (bulk scraping);
• bypassing or attempting to bypass paid access;
• using the site for any unlawful or offensive purpose.

8. Intellectual property

Code, layout, trademarks, graphic elements, narrations and curation belong to Pryvion Studio. Canonical texts and historical manuscripts remain in the public domain.

The following are original works, protected by Brazilian copyright law (Law 9,610/1998) and international treaties: the audio narrations, the translations, revisions and adaptations made by Lux Veritas (including the apocryphal books and the Spanish versions), the selection and arrangement of the collection, the Journey lessons, the studies, the Bible dictionary, the verses of the day with their supporting texts, and the artwork. The original text being in the public domain does not permit copying this work.

Automated extraction of the content (bots, scripts, bulk downloads), decompiling or modifying the app to reach its files, and republishing any part of this material in another app, website or service without written permission are forbidden. Copies found will be reported to the stores, hosting providers and authorities, without prejudice to legal action.

9. AI generated content

Living Word and topic study responses are generated by artificial intelligence from biblical texts for devotional and educational purposes. They may contain inaccuracies and do not replace religious, pastoral, psychological, medical, legal or financial advice. In severe psychological distress, seek professional help; in Brazil, CVV is available by phone at 188, 24 hours a day.

10. Availability

We work to keep the site available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation: maintenance, provider failures or unforeseen circumstances may cause downtime. Prolonged interruptions attributable to us entitle you to a proportional discount for the subscription period, upon request.

11. Termination for misuse

Accounts involved in payment fraud, improper sharing of paid access or violation of these Terms may be suspended or terminated, with a proportional refund for unused time when applicable.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or a site notice at least 15 days in advance. Continued use after that period indicates agreement.

13. Governing law and forum

Brazilian law applies, especially the Consumer Defense Code (Law 8,078/1990), the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law 12,965/2014), the LGPD (Law 13,709/2018) and Decree 7,962/2013. The consumer’s domicile is the forum for disputes.
