1 Clemente 12

1E ela lhes disse: Sei com certeza que o Senhor Deus vos entrega esta cidade.

1And she said to them: I know for certain that the Lord God is delivering this city to you.

2Porque o temor de vós caiu sobre seus habitantes. Quando a tomardes, salvai a mim e à casa de meu pai.

2Because the fear of you has fallen upon its inhabitants. When you take it, save me and my father's house.

3E eles lhe disseram: Será como disseste. Quando souberes que chegamos, reunirás todos os teus debaixo de teu teto, e serão salvos. Porque todo aquele que for encontrado fora da casa será morto.

3And they said to her: It shall be as you have said. When you know that we have come, you shall gather all yours under your roof, and they shall be saved. Because everyone found outside the house shall be killed.

4E além disso lhe deram um sinal, que deveria pendurar de sua casa algo escarlate.

4And moreover they gave her a sign, that she should hang something scarlet from her house.
