Yeshuah

Salvation as concrete rescue: being pulled out of the tight place, the enemy, the illness.

In the Old Testament, yeshuah almost never speaks of the soul's fate after death — it speaks of leaving Egypt, escaping the army, surviving the drought. It is open space for someone who was cornered. The name Yeshua (Jesus) is that same word, and the announcement of Matthew 1:21 plays on it: “he shall save his people”.
