Apocrypha · Chapter 33 of 114

The Shepherd of Hermas 33

Visions and Mandates

NINTH COMMANDMENT: He said to me: Remove doubt from yourself and do not hesitate to ask God.

2Do not say in yourself: How can I ask God and receive, having sinned so much against him?

3Do not think like that, but turn to the Lord with all your heart, and ask him without hesitation, and you will know his great mercy.

4Because he will not abandon you, but will fulfill the petition of your soul. Because God is not like men who hold grudges, but he himself does not hold grudges.
