TENTH COMMANDMENT: Put away sadness from you, he said. Because it is the sister of doubt and impetuosity.
2How can it be, lord, I said, that sadness is the sister of these? For impetuosity seems to me to be one thing, doubt another, and sadness another.
3You are foolish, he said. Do you not perceive that sadness is the worst of all spirits and most pernicious to the servants of God.
4And beyond all spirits, it destroys man and oppresses the Holy Spirit, and again saves. I said: Lord, I am foolish and do not understand these parables.
