Apocrypha · Chapter 3 of 8

Ascension of Isaiah 3

Visio Isaiae

And Belkira recognized where Isaiah and the prophets were. For he was devoted to Manasseh.

2And Belkira accused Isaiah, saying: 'Isaiah prophesies against Jerusalem and its cities.'

3'Isaiah dared to call Jerusalem Sodom and the princes of Judah Gomorrah.'

4And Belial dwelt in the heart of Manasseh and the princes of Judah.

5And Manasseh sent his guards to arrest Isaiah.

6Because through Isaiah the coming of the Beloved from the seventh heaven had become known.

7And his transformation, his crucifixion on the tree, his burial, and the resurrection were revealed.
