Apocrypha · Chapter 1 of 3

Vengeance of the Savior 1

Vindicta Salvatoris

In the days of the Emperor Tiberius Caesar, Herod being tetrarch, Christ was delivered by the Jews.

2In those days, Titus was head of state in the region of Equitania, in a city of Libya.

3Titus had a wound on the right part of his nose, caused by a cancer that was taking over his face.

4At that time a man came out of Judea called Nathan, son of Nahum, an Ishmaelite.

5Nathan came as an envoy from Judea to the Emperor Tiberius, bearer of a treaty with Rome.

6Tiberius was ill, full of ulcers, malignant fevers and had nine types of leprosy.

7Nathan intended to go to Rome, but the wind changed his route to Libya.
