The next day, the Shepherd came and asked me: 'How did you spend the night?' 'Very joyfully, Lord,' answered I.
2'Now,' said he, 'I will explain to you what you saw. The white rock and the gate are the Son of God.'
3'Why, Lord,' said I, 'is the rock ancient and the gate new?'
4'Because,' said he, 'the Son of God is older than all creation, but the gate is new because He manifested Himself in the end times so that those who will be saved may enter through Him into the kingdom of God.'
