Twelve Patriarchs 2

Patriarkhai

TESTAMENT OF SIMEON - Copy of the words of Simeon, which he spoke to his sons before he died.

2Hear me, sons of Simeon, hear your father, and I will tell you what was in my heart.

3I was born to Jacob, my father, as his second son.

4And Leah, my mother, called me Simeon because the Lord heard her prayer.

5I became very strong, and I feared no deed, nor was I afraid of anything.

6My heart was hard, and my liver was immovable, and my bowels were without compassion.

7Valor comes from the Most High to men, in body and in soul.

8Then I was envious of Joseph, because our father loved him.

9I hardened myself against him to destroy him.

10Because the prince of error sent a spirit of envy and blinded my mind.
