When this one also died, they tortured and mutilated the fourth in similar manner.
2And when he was about to die, he said: It is good, being about to die at the hands of men, to hope in God who will raise us up.
3But for you there will be no resurrection to life.
4Behold, also the fifth leaped forward and said: You have power among men, and although you are mortal, you do what you wish.
5But do not think that our nation has been abandoned by God.
6Wait and you will see his great power, how he will torment you and your descendants.
7After him they brought the sixth, who, being about to die, said:
8Do not deceive yourself in vain, for by our own fault we suffer these things, sinning against our own God.
9But do not think you will go unpunished, having undertaken to fight against God.
10Admirably, therefore, the pious mother and her brood of children remained firm.
