What must we do, then, to obtain them? Walk in a holy and righteous manner.
2And consider these things of the world as foreign to us, and not desire them.
3For when we desire to acquire them, we fall from the path of righteousness.
4The Lord says: No servant can serve two masters.
5If we want to serve both God and Mammon, it is not profitable to us.
6For what does it profit to gain the whole world and lose the soul?
7This world and the future are two enemies.
8This one speaks of adultery, corruption, greed and deceit. The other renounces these things.
