Apocrypha · Chapter 56 of 65

1 Clement 56

Letter to the Corinthians

Let us also pray for those who are in any transgression, that meekness and humility be granted them, so that they may yield not to us, but to the will of God.

2For thus they will have a fruitful and perfect remembrance before God and the saints, with compassion.

3Let us receive correction, at which no one should be irritated, beloved.

4The admonition we make to one another is good and extremely useful; for it unites us to the will of God.
