Apocrypha · Chapter 54 of 65

1 Clement 54

Letter to the Corinthians

Who, then, among you is noble? Who is compassionate? Who has love?

2Let him say: If because of me there is sedition, strife and schisms, I will depart, I will go wherever you wish.

3And I will do whatever is ordered by the people; only let the flock of Christ be at peace with the presbyters who were appointed.

4He who does this will gain for himself great reputation in Christ, and every place will receive him.
