1 Clemente 54

1Quem, pois, entre vós é nobre? Quem é compassivo? Quem tem amor?

1Who, then, among you is noble? Who is compassionate? Who has love?

2Que ele diga: Se por minha causa há sedição, contenda e cismas, eu partirei, irei aonde quiserdes.

2Let him say: If because of me there is sedition, strife and schisms, I will depart, I will go wherever you wish.

3E farei o que for ordenado pelo povo; somente deixai o rebanho de Cristo estar em paz com os presbíteros que foram designados.

3And I will do whatever is ordered by the people; only let the flock of Christ be at peace with the presbyters who were appointed.

4Aquele que fizer isto ganhará para si grande reputação em Cristo, e todo lugar o receberá.

4He who does this will gain for himself great reputation in Christ, and every place will receive him.
