The apostles received for us the gospel from the Lord Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ was sent from God.
2The Christ, therefore, is from God, and the apostles are from the Christ. Both things, therefore, came from the will of God in good order.
3Having, therefore, received instructions and having been fully assured by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, being confirmed in the word of God with full assurance of the Holy Spirit, they went out with the good news that the kingdom of God was about to come.
4Thus, preaching through countries and cities, they appointed their firstfruits, having been tested by the Spirit, as bishops and deacons of those who would believe.
