1 Clemente 42

1Os apóstolos receberam para nós o evangelho do Senhor Jesus Cristo; Jesus Cristo foi enviado de Deus.

1The apostles received for us the gospel from the Lord Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ was sent from God.

2O Cristo, portanto, é de Deus, e os apóstolos são do Cristo. Ambas as coisas, portanto, vieram da vontade de Deus em boa ordem.

2The Christ, therefore, is from God, and the apostles are from the Christ. Both things, therefore, came from the will of God in good order.

3Tendo, portanto, recebido instruções e tendo sido plenamente assegurados pela ressurreição de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, sendo confirmados na palavra de Deus com plena certeza do Espírito Santo, saíram com a boa nova de que o reino de Deus estava para vir.

3Having, therefore, received instructions and having been fully assured by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, being confirmed in the word of God with full assurance of the Holy Spirit, they went out with the good news that the kingdom of God was about to come.

4Assim, pregando por países e cidades, designaram suas primícias, tendo sido testados pelo Espírito, como bispos e diáconos dos que haveriam de crer.

4Thus, preaching through countries and cities, they appointed their firstfruits, having been tested by the Spirit, as bishops and deacons of those who would believe.
