For Christ is of the humble in spirit, not of those who exalt themselves over his flock.
2The scepter of the majesty of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, did not come with ostentation of boasting or arrogance, though he could have done so.
3But in humility, as the Holy Spirit spoke concerning him. For it says: Lord, who believed our report? And to whom was the arm of the Lord revealed?
4You see, beloved, what is the example that has been given us. For if the Lord thus humbled himself, what shall we do who have come under the yoke of his grace through him?
