Letter to the Corinthians

Therefore let us join with those who practice piety in peace, and not with those who only desire peace with hypocrisy.

2For it says somewhere: This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

3And again: With their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed.

4And again: They loved him with their mouth, and with their tongue they lied to him; but their heart was not right with him, nor were they faithful to his covenant.
