Apocrypha · Chapter 10 of 65

1 Clement 10

Letter to the Corinthians

Abraham, called friend, was found faithful because he became obedient to the words of God.

2In obedience he went out from his land and from his kindred and from his father's house, so that leaving a small land, weak kindred and insignificant house, he might inherit the promises of God.

3By hospitality and piety, Lot was saved from Sodom, while all the region around was judged with fire and brimstone.
