Apocrypha · Chapter 7 of 42

Odes of Solomon 7

Odae Solomontos

As the wrath of the Most High is against the wicked, so is his goodness toward the pious.

2His love is immense for the one who loves him.

3He is like the sun that rises upon the face of the earth.

4His eyes illumine the day.

5My face was illumined by his holy day.

6I received the knowledge of the Most High, and it was like a river of delight.

7And all the thirsty upon the earth drank from it, and thirst was relieved and quenched.
