LUX VERITAS

Apocrypha · Chapter 60 of 65

1 Clement 60

Letter to the Corinthians

You who opened the eyes of our heart to know you, who alone are the Most High in the heights, Holy who rests among the saints.

2Who humbles the arrogance of the proud, who scatters the plans of the nations, who exalts the humble and humbles the exalted.

3Who enriches and impoverishes, who kills and makes alive, only Benefactor of spirits and God of all flesh.

4Who looks upon the abysses, who sees the works of man, Helper of those who are in danger, Savior of the despairing.
