Letter to the Corinthians
Being, therefore, a holy portion, let us do all things that pertain to holiness.
2Avoiding slander, impure and base connections, drunkenness, tumults, abominable desires, detestable adultery, detestable pride.
3For God, says the scripture, resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
4Let us join, therefore, with those to whom grace is given from God. Let us clothe ourselves with concord, being humble, continent, keeping ourselves from all murmuring and slander.
