History of Joseph the Carpenter 1

The Carpenter

When our Savior told us the life of Joseph, the Carpenter, gathered on the Mount of Olives, we the apostles wrote down his words.

2Jesus said: 'My beloved brothers, sons of my beloved Father, chosen by Him from among all in the world!'

3'Well you know that it is necessary that I be crucified and that I taste death, that I rise from among the dead.'

4'I will send down upon you a power from on high, which will fill you with the Holy Spirit.'

5'You, finally, preach to all people: do penance!'

6'A cup of water in the life to come is worth more than all the riches of this world.'

7'Listen, for I will narrate to you the life of my father Joseph, the blessed elderly carpenter.'
