Apocrypha · Chapter 13 of 51

Apocalypse of Paul 13

Visio Pauli

And I said to the angel: I would like to see the souls of the righteous and sinners as they depart from the world.

2And the angel answered and said to me: Look down at the earth.

3And I looked from heaven to earth and beheld the whole world, and it was nothing in my sight.

4And I saw the sons of men as if they were nothing and failing utterly.

5And I marveled and said to the angel: Is this the greatness of men?

6And the angel answered and said to me: This is it, and these are those who hurt each other from morning to evening.

7And I looked, and I saw a great cloud of fire spread over all the world.

8And I said to the angel: What is this, Lord?

9And he said to me: This is the injustice that is mixed by the princes of sinners.
