Adam and Eve entered the cave and stood praying in their own tongue.
2While praying, Adam raised his eyes and saw the rock and the ceiling. He wept and beat his chest until he fell as if dead.
3Eve sat weeping because she believed he was dead.
4She asked God: 'Forgive me, for it was I who caused the fall of Your servant.'
5'From the light to this darkness; from the abode of joy to this prison.'
6'O God, look upon Your servant and raise him from his death.'
7'If You do not raise him, take my own soul so that I may be with him.'
