For as much pleasure as these words bring to those who practice them, so much condemnation to those who disobey.
2Therefore, brethren, having received no small opportunity for repentance.
3Since we have time, let us turn to God who called us, while we still have one who receives us.
4For if we renounce these pleasures and conquer our soul in not doing its evil inclinations.
5We shall participate in the mercy of Jesus.
6But know that the day of judgment already comes as a burning furnace.
7And some of the heavens shall melt and all the earth shall be like lead melting in fire.
8And then the secret and public works of men shall appear.
