Apocrypha · Chapter 58 of 65

1 Clement 58

Letter to the Corinthians

Because I called and you did not obey, I extended words and you did not attend; but you nullified my counsels and despised my reproofs.

2Therefore, I also will laugh at your destruction and will rejoice when ruin comes upon you.

3When disturbance comes upon you suddenly, and overthrow like a storm, or when tribulation and siege come upon you.

4For it shall be that when you call upon me, I will not hear you; the wicked shall seek me and shall not find me.
