Let us consider, beloved, how the Lord continually shows us the resurrection to come, of which he made the Lord Jesus Christ the firstfruits by raising him from the dead.
2Let us see the resurrection that happens at the proper season. Day and night show us the resurrection. The night sleeps, the day rises; the day departs, the night comes.
3Let us take the fruits. How and in what manner does the sowing happen? The sower goes out and casts each of the seeds into the earth, which falling on the earth, dry and naked, decompose.
4And then, from the decomposition, the greatness of the providence of the Lord raises them up.
