Letter to the Corinthians
But what shall we say of David, whose testimony was so great, to whom also God said: I have found a man after my own heart, David the son of Jesse? With everlasting mercy I have anointed him.
2But he also says to God: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your mercy; and according to the multitude of your compassions blot out my transgressions.
3Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
4If David so humbled himself, how much more must we do the same.
