Infancy Gospel of Thomas 9

Miracles of the Child

Joseph was informed and ran to the school, fearing that this teacher also might be disabled.

2But the teacher said to Joseph: Know, brother, that I took the child as a pupil, but he is full of great grace and wisdom.

3I ask you, brother, take him back to your house.

4When the child heard these words, he immediately laughed and said: Since you have spoken correctly and testified correctly.

5For your sake, the one who was struck will also be healed.

6And immediately the other teacher was healed.

7And Joseph took the child home.

About Infancy Gospel of Thomas

The child Jesus of popular tales: clay birds that come to life and neighbours who learn not to provoke him. A text the church rejected and the people copied for centuries.
