Infancy of Mary

The priests, then, gathered and agreed to make a veil for the temple of the Lord. And the priest said: 'Call some unblemished maidens from the tribe of David.' The ministers went, and, after having searched, they found seven virgins.

2After having brought them into the temple, the priest said: 'Let us see who shall embroider the gold, the amiantus, the linen, the silk, the hyacinth, the scarlet and the true purple.' And the scarlet and the true purple fell to Mary who, taking them, went home.
