Apocrypha · Chapter 3 of 3

Gospel of the Hebrews 3

Jewish Tradition

And behold the mother of the Lord and his brothers said to him: 'Rabbi, they say that John the Baptist is a prophet.'

2The Lord said: 'John is more than a prophet. There is no one born of woman greater than he.'

3If anyone sins against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him either in this world or in the world to come.

4Unless he repents, the sin will not be forgiven him.

5The second greatest commandment is: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

6If you do this, the Kingdom of Heaven will be with you.

7And the peace of the Lord will descend upon you.
