Evangelho dos Hebreus 3

1E eis que a mãe do Senhor e seus irmãos lhe disseram: 'Rabi, dizem que João Batista é um profeta.'

1And behold the mother of the Lord and his brothers said to him: 'Rabbi, they say that John the Baptist is a prophet.'

2O Senhor disse: 'João é mais que um profeta. Não há ninguém nascido de mulher maior que ele.'

2The Lord said: 'John is more than a prophet. There is no one born of woman greater than he.'

3Se alguém pecar contra o Espírito Santo, não lhe será perdoado nem neste mundo nem no vindouro.

3If anyone sins against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him either in this world or in the world to come.

4A menos que se arrependa, o pecado não lhe será perdoado.

4Unless he repents, the sin will not be forgiven him.

5O segundo maior mandamento é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo.

5The second greatest commandment is: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

6Se fizeres isso, o Reino dos Céus estará contigo.

6If you do this, the Kingdom of Heaven will be with you.

7E a paz do Senhor descerá sobre ti.

7And the peace of the Lord will descend upon you.
