Apocalypse of Moses 3

Life of Adam and Eve

And Adam said: No, my son, but I am afflicted and in great agony.

2And Seth said: What is agony? I do not know. Do not hide it from us, but tell us.

3And Adam said: Hear me, my children. When God made us, me and your mother.

4And placed us in Paradise and gave us every fruit tree to eat.

5He commanded us not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.

6God gave one part of Paradise to me and another part to your mother Eve.

7To me were given the trees of the north side and the west.

8And to your mother those of the south and the east.
