Woe to you, Assyria, who hide the unrighteous within you!
O wicked nation, remember what I did to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Whose lands lie in blocks of pitch and heaps of ashes.
Thus will I do to those who have not listened to me, says the Lord Almighty.
Thus says the Lord to Esdras: Tell my people that I will give them the kingdom of Jerusalem.
Which I would have given to Israel.
I will also take their glory for myself and give them the eternal tabernacles.
Which I prepared for Israel.
The tree of life will be for them as the fragrance of ointments.
They will neither labor nor grow weary.
Go, and you shall receive. Ask a few days for yourselves, that you may be given more.
The kingdom is already prepared for you; watch!
I call heaven and earth as witnesses: I turned from evil and created good.
As surely as I live, says the Lord.
O mother, embrace your children and raise them with joy as a dove does.
Strengthen their feet, for I have chosen you, says the Lord.
And I will raise the dead from their places and bring them out of their tombs.
Because I have recognized my name in them.
Fear not, O mother of the children, for I have chosen you, says the Lord.
I will send my servants Isaiah and Jeremiah to your aid.
According to their counsel, I have consecrated and prepared for you twelve trees laden with different fruits.
And likewise many springs flowing with milk and honey.
And seven enormous mountains on which grow roses and lilies.
With which I will fill your children with joy.
Defend the widow, do justice to the orphan, give to the needy and protect the orphan.
Clothe the naked, care for the crippled and the weak, do not mock the lame.
Protect the maimed and let the blind reach the vision of my glory.
Keep the old and the young within your walls.
