Apocalipse de Esdras 6

1Ai de ti, Assíria, que escondes os injustos contigo!

1Woe to you, Assyria, who hide the unrighteous within you!

2Ó nação má, lembra-te do que fiz a Sodoma e Gomorra.

2O wicked nation, remember what I did to Sodom and Gomorrah.

3Cujas terras jazem em blocos de piche e montes de cinza.

3Whose lands lie in blocks of pitch and heaps of ashes.

4Assim farei com aqueles que não me ouviram, diz o Senhor Todo-Poderoso.

4Thus will I do to those who have not listened to me, says the Lord Almighty.

5Assim diz o Senhor a Esdras: Diz ao meu povo que lhes darei o reino de Jerusalém.

5Thus says the Lord to Esdras: Tell my people that I will give them the kingdom of Jerusalem.

6Que eu teria dado a Israel.

6Which I would have given to Israel.

7Também tomarei para mim sua glória e lhes darei as tendas eternas.

7I will also take their glory for myself and give them the eternal tabernacles.

8Que preparei para Israel.

8Which I prepared for Israel.

9A árvore da vida será para eles como perfume de ungüentos.

9The tree of life will be for them as the fragrance of ointments.

10Eles não trabalharão nem se cansarão.

10They will neither labor nor grow weary.

11Ide, e recebereis. Pedi poucos dias para vós, que vos sejam dados mais.

11Go, and you shall receive. Ask a few days for yourselves, that you may be given more.

12O reino já está preparado para vós; vigiai!

12The kingdom is already prepared for you; watch!

13Tomo por testemunhas o céu e a terra: Desisti do mal e criei o bem.

13I call heaven and earth as witnesses: I turned from evil and created good.

14Tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor.

14As surely as I live, says the Lord.

15Ó mãe, abraça teus filhos e cria-os com alegria como faz uma pomba.

15O mother, embrace your children and raise them with joy as a dove does.

16Fortalece os pés deles, porque eu te escolhi, diz o Senhor.

16Strengthen their feet, for I have chosen you, says the Lord.

17E eu ressuscitarei os mortos de seus lugares e os tirarei de seus túmulos.

17And I will raise the dead from their places and bring them out of their tombs.

18Porque reconheci meu nome neles.

18Because I have recognized my name in them.

19Não temas, ó mãe dos filhos, porque eu te escolhi, diz o Senhor.

19Fear not, O mother of the children, for I have chosen you, says the Lord.

20Enviarei meus servos Isaías e Jeremias em teu auxílio.

20I will send my servants Isaiah and Jeremiah to your aid.

21Segundo o conselho deles, consagrei e preparei para ti doze árvores carregadas de diferentes frutos.

21According to their counsel, I have consecrated and prepared for you twelve trees laden with different fruits.

22E igualmente tantas fontes fluindo com leite e mel.

22And likewise many springs flowing with milk and honey.

23E sete montes enormes sobre os quais crescem rosas e lírios.

23And seven enormous mountains on which grow roses and lilies.

24Com os quais encherei de alegria teus filhos.

24With which I will fill your children with joy.

25Defende a viúva, faz justiça ao órfão, dá ao necessitado e protege o órfão.

25Defend the widow, do justice to the orphan, give to the needy and protect the orphan.

26Veste o nu, cuida do aleijado e do fraco, não zombes do coxo.

26Clothe the naked, care for the crippled and the weak, do not mock the lame.

27Protege o mutilado e deixa o cego alcançar a visão de minha glória.

27Protect the maimed and let the blind reach the vision of my glory.

28Guarda o velho e o jovem dentro de tuas muralhas.

28Keep the old and the young within your walls.
