Apocalypse of Abraham 2

Vision of the Throne

And I said: If this god cannot remain standing in his own place, how can he help me?

2And when I lifted him, he also fell from my hands and broke into pieces.

3And I said in my heart: What power have these gods?

4For they need me to serve them.

5While I was thinking this in my heart, my father said to me:

6Abraham! Abraham! Bring me wood for the fire, so that I can make bread and gods for my meal.

7And I went to carry wood from five logs, and found a small god.

8His name was written on his forehead: Barisat.

9And I lit the fire with him, and while I was seeking more wood, he too had already been consumed.
