Then I made solid the heavenly circle and commanded the waters that were below heaven to gather in one same place.
2From the waves I created great and solid stones, and from the stone I gathered the dry land.
3And I called the dry land earth, and the center of the earth I called abyss.
4I gathered the seas in one place, and joined them with a chain.
5And I said to the sea: 'Behold, hence your eternal limits, and you shall not free yourself from your constituent parts.'
