LUX VERITAS

Apocrypha · Chapter 52 of 65

1 Clement 52

Letter to the Corinthians

For the Lord needs nothing; he desires nothing from anyone, except that confession be made to him.

2For David the chosen says: I will confess to the Lord, and this will please him more than a young calf that has horns and hooves.

3Let the poor see and be glad; seek God and your soul shall live.

4For the Lord hears the poor and does not despise the prisoners.
