1 Clemente 52

1Porque o Senhor não precisa de nada; nada ele deseja de ninguém, a não ser que lhe seja feita confissão.

1For the Lord needs nothing; he desires nothing from anyone, except that confession be made to him.

2Porque diz Davi, o escolhido: Confessarei ao Senhor, e isto lhe agradará mais do que um bezerro jovem que tem chifres e cascos.

2For David the chosen says: I will confess to the Lord, and this will please him more than a young calf that has horns and hooves.

3Vejam os pobres e alegrem-se; buscai a Deus e viverá vossa alma.

3Let the poor see and be glad; seek God and your soul shall live.

4Porque o Senhor ouve os pobres e não despreza os prisioneiros.

4For the Lord hears the poor and does not despise the prisoners.
