1The Lord endured to deliver his flesh to destruction that we might be sanctified by the remission of sins.
2Which is by the sprinkling of his blood.
3For it is written concerning him, partly for Israel and partly for us.
4And it says thus: He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.
5By his wounds we were healed. Like a sheep he was led to slaughter.
6And like a lamb that is dumb before its shearer.
7Therefore we must be exceedingly thankful to the Lord.
8Because he has both made known to us the past and given us wisdom for the present.
