1 Enoch 71:1-17 & Hebrews 11:5

Reflection

At the end of his earthly journey Enoch is translated and carried up in chariots of fire into the divine presence, where he is received in the palace of the Living God. He is spiritually transformed into the Son of Man / Metatron, the heavenly scribe. By faith Enoch did not see death, leaving the testimony that he pleased the Creator. This triumphant ending inspires our own walk of faith: daily, constant communion with the Father prepares us to dwell with Him for eternity.

Applying it today

Renew today your commitment to walk with God closely and daily, remembering that communion on earth is the preparation for eternity.

Prayer

Eternal God, who took Enoch to yourself, give me the grace to walk with you every day on earth, that I may dwell in your glorious presence for ever. Amen.
