1 Enoch 10:4-15 & 2 Peter 2:4

Reflection

God's sovereignty is reaffirmed in the decree of judgement over the rebel angels and the giants (Nephilim) who laid the earth waste. Enoch stands as an intercessor, yet the divine decree does not bend: darkness and judgement await the sowers of evil in the spiritual Tartarus until the great day of reckoning. This assures us that injustice and evil do not have the last word in the world. The Creator sets a limit on wickedness and guarantees the final redemption of creation.

Applying it today

Rest in the certainty of divine justice whenever the injustices of the world weigh on you. The justice of the Lord does not fail.

Prayer

Just and Upright God, I place in your hands every injustice I see around me. Strengthen my faith in your eternal justice and help me to do good. Amen.
