Apocrypha · Chapter 3 of 3

Vengeance of the Savior 3

Vindicta Salvatoris

Titus said: 'How did he rise from among the dead? Then He was dead?'

2Nathan answered: 'He was hung on a cross, was three days in the tomb, then rose again.'

3'He descended to the underworld, freed the patriarchs, prophets and all humanity.'

4'Then he appeared to his disciples and shared a meal with them.'

5'Finally, they saw Him ascend to heaven. I myself saw Him with my own eyes.'

6Titus exclaimed: 'Woe to you, Emperor Tiberius, for having permitted such a scandal!'

7'If I had seen, I would have put to death those Jews who destroyed my Lord.'
