Life of Adam and Eve
And Eve came out of the water, trembling with cold.
2And she went to Adam in the river Jordan.
3And when Adam saw her, he wept bitterly.
4And said: O Eve, why did you let yourself be deceived again by the enemy?
5And Eve looked back and saw that it was Satan, and wept.
6And said: Why do you persecute us? What have we done to you?
7And Satan said: It is because of you that I was expelled from heaven!
8When you were formed, I was cast out from the presence of God.
