There was a wise man, a great craftsman, and the Lord loved him and received him, so that he might see the uppermost dwellings and be a witness of the wise and great and inconceivable and unchanging kingdom of God Almighty.
At that time, he said, when I had completed one hundred and sixty-five years, I begot my son Methuselah.
After that I lived two hundred years and completed all the years of my life, three hundred and sixty-five years.
On the first day of the first month I was alone in my house, resting on my bed, and I slept.
And when I was asleep, great grief came over my heart, and I was weeping in my sleep.
And there appeared to me two men, exceedingly big; their faces shone like the sun, and their eyes were like burning lamps.
They were standing at the head of my bed called me by name.
And they said: 'Have courage, Enoch, do not fear; the eternal God sent us to you, and today you shall ascend with us into heaven.'
