Pistis Sophia 71

1E Jesus continuou novamente no discurso e disse aos seus discípulos: Aconteceu então que, quando Pistis Sophia acabou de proferir estas palavras, cumpriu-se o tempo em que devia ser tirada para fora do caos. E de mim mesmo, sem o Primeiro Mistério, emiti de mim um poder de luz, e o enviei ao caos, para que tirasse Pistis Sophia das regiões profundas do caos, e a levasse para as regiões superiores do caos, até que viesse a ordem do Primeiro Mistério de que ela fosse tirada inteiramente fora do caos.

1And Jesus continued again in the discourse and said unto his disciples: It came to pass then, when Pistis Sophia had finished saying these words, that the time was fulfilled that she should be led out of the chaos. And of myself, without the First Mystery, I dispatched out of myself a light-power, and I sent it down to the chaos, that it might lead Pistis Sophia forth from the deep regions of the chaos, and lead her to the higher regions of the chaos, until the command should come from the First Mystery that she should be led entirely forth out of the chaos.

2E o meu poder de luz conduziu Pistis Sophia para cima, às regiões superiores do caos. Aconteceu então que, quando as emanações do Soberbo perceberam que Pistis Sophia estava sendo conduzida para fora, às regiões superiores do caos, correram elas também atrás dela para cima, desejando fazê-la retornar às regiões inferiores. E o meu poder de luz, que eu havia enviado para tirar Sophia para fora do caos, brilhava com supremo resplendor.

2And my light-power led Pistis Sophia up to the higher regions of the chaos. It came to pass then, when the emanations of Self-willed had noticed that Pistis Sophia was being led forth into the higher regions of the chaos, that they also ran after her upwards, desiring to bring her again into the lower regions. And my light-power, which I had sent to lead Sophia up out of the chaos, was shining most exceedingly.

3Aconteceu então que, correndo as emanações do Soberbo atrás de Sophia, havendo sido ela conduzida às regiões superiores do caos, novamente cantou ela louvores e clamou a mim, dizendo:

3It came to pass then, when the emanations of Self-willed ran after Sophia, when she had been led into the higher regions of the chaos, that she again sang praises and cried out unto me, saying:

4Cantarei louvores a ti, ó Luz, pois desejei achegar-me a ti. Cantar-te-ei louvores, ó Luz, pois tu és o meu libertador.

4I will sing praises unto thee, O Light, for I have desired to come unto thee. I will sing thee praises, O Light, for thou art my deliverer.

5Não me deixes no caos. Salva-me, ó Luz da Altura, pois a ti tenho louvado.

5Leave me not in the chaos. Save me, O Light of the Height, for it is thou that I have praised.

6Enviaste-me a tua luz por ti mesmo e me salvaste. Tu me conduziste às regiões superiores do caos.

6Thou hast sent me thy light through thyself and hast saved me. Thou hast led me to the higher regions of the chaos.

7Caiam as emanações do Soberbo que me perseguem nas regiões inferiores do caos, e não venham às regiões superiores do caos para ver-me.

7Let the emanations of Self-willed which pursue after me, fall down into the lower regions of the chaos, and let them not come to the higher regions of the chaos to see me.

8E cubra-as grande escuridão, e venha sobre elas uma névoa sombria. E não me vejam na luz do teu poder, que enviaste a mim para me salvar, a fim de que não tornem a ter domínio sobre mim.

8And let great darkness cover them and let a gloom come over them. And let them not see me in the light of thy power, which thou hast sent unto me to save me, that they may not again get dominion over me.

9E não prevaleça o conselho que consultaram, de me tirarem o poder. E assim como falaram de mim, para tirarem a minha luz, toma antes a deles em vez da minha.

9And let not the counsel which they have counselled, to take away my power, hold good for them. And as they have spoken of me, to take away my light, take rather from them their own instead of mine.

10Pois consultaram para tirar a minha luz, e não a puderam tomar, porque o teu poder de luz estava comigo.

10For they have counselled to take away my light, and have not been able to take it, for thy light-power was with me.

11Porque consultaram sem o teu mandamento, ó Luz, por isso não puderam tirar a minha luz.

11Because they have counselled without thy commandment, O Light, therefore have they not been able to take away my light.

12Porque tive fé na Luz, não temerei; e a Luz é o meu libertador, e não terei medo.

12Because I have had faith in the Light, I shall not be afraid; and the Light is my deliverer and I shall not fear.

13Agora, pois, aquele cujo poder for exaltado, chegue-se à frente e diga a solução das palavras que Pistis Sophia proferiu.

13Now, therefore, let him whose power is exalted, come forward and say the solution of the words which Pistis Sophia hath uttered.
