1"E sucedeu depois disto que subi até aos véus do décimo terceiro éon. Aconteceu então que, tendo eu chegado aos seus véus, afastaram-se por si mesmos e abriram-se diante de mim. Entrei no décimo terceiro éon e achei Pistis Sophia abaixo do décimo terceiro éon, completamente só, sem ninguém da sua ordem com ela. E ela se assentava naquela região aflita e pranteando, porque não havia sido admitida no décimo terceiro éon, a sua região superior. E entristecia-se outrossim por causa dos tormentos que o Soberbo, que é um dos três poderes tríplices, lhe havia infligido. Mas quanto a isto, quando vier a falar-vos a respeito da sua expansão, dir-vos-ei o mistério de como isto lhe sobreveio.

1"It came to pass then thereafter that I ascended to the veils of the thirteenth aeon. It came to pass then, when I had arrived at their veils, that they drew apart of their own accord and opened themselves for me. I entered in into the thirteenth aeon and found Pistis Sophia below the thirteenth aeon all alone and no one of them with her. And she sat in that region grieving and mourning, because she had not been admitted into the thirteenth aeon, her higher region. And she was moreover grieving because of the torments which Self-willed, who is one of the three triple-powers, had inflicted on her. But this,--when I shall come to speak with you respecting their expansion, I will tell you the mystery, how this befell her.

2"Aconteceu então que, quando Pistis Sophia me viu resplandecendo com grande excesso e sem medida alguma para a luz que me cercava, ficou em grande agitação e contemplou a luz da minha veste. Viu o mistério do seu nome na minha veste e toda a glória do seu mistério, pois outrora habitava na região das alturas, no décimo terceiro éon — e costumava cantar louvores à luz superior, a qual contemplara no véu do Tesouro da Luz.

2"It came to pass then, when Pistis Sophia saw me shining most exceedingly and with no measure for the light which was about me, that she was in great agitation and gazed at the light of my vesture. She saw the mystery of her name on my vesture and the whole glory of its mystery, for formerly she was in the region of the height, in the thirteenth aeon,--but she was wont to sing praises to the higher light, which she had seen in the veil of the Treasury of the Light.

3"E sucedeu que, perseverando ela em cantar louvores à luz do alto, todos os arcontes que estão com os dois grandes poderes tríplices, e o seu invisível que com ela faz par, e as outras vinte e duas emanações invisíveis contemplaram a luz — visto que Pistis Sophia e o seu par, juntamente com as outras vinte e duas emanações, completam vinte e quatro emanações que o grande Antepassado invisível e os dois grandes poderes tríplices emanaram."

3"It came to pass then, when she persisted in singing praises to the higher light, that all the rulers who are with the two great triple-powers, and her invisible who is paired with her, and the other two-and-twenty invisible emanations gazed at the light,--in as much as Pistis Sophia and her pair, they and the other two-and-twenty emanations make up four-and-twenty emanations, which the great invisible Forefather and the two great triple-powers have emanated."
